Own server in the data center in Basel

You can bring your 19″ server configured with you or have it purchased and configured by us as required. We are also happy to take over the management and maintenance of the servers. (incl. on-call service). Our infrastructure is located in the Tier-2 data center in Münchenstein near Basel.

Our monthly server housing plans include:

• Free use of nextron DNS
• Deep monitoring (individual services) and alerting via e-mail or SMS on your cell phone
• Firewall protection incl. SSL VPN access for admin
• Admin center access with detailed bandwidth statistics
• Telephone and e-mail support

Price details

For servers with a public internet connection (web servers, etc.) we charge CHF 99 for the first HE and CHF 69 for each additional HE. For backend servers without a public internet connection (dedicated DB servers, cluster file servers, but also firewalls, etc.) we charge CHF 69 per HE.

Calculation examples:

• A 1 U server costs CHF 99
• A 2 U server costs CHF 99 + CHF 69 = CHF 168
• A 4 U server costs CHF 99 + 3 x CHF 69 = CHF 306
• A cluster of two 1 U web servers and one 2 U backend DB or file server is CHF 99 + CHF 99 + CHF 69 + CHF 69 = CHF 336

General information

• The servers are always located behind our firewall and are configured individually with appropriate rights (no open RDP etc., otherwise via VPN).
• All hypervisors, storage and backups are located exclusively in Switzerland in our Münchenstein and Basel data centers.
• Accompanied access to the rack: 1 access / month included by arrangement / during office hours / max. 1 hour
• Telephone and email support:
  • Support hours (Mon-Fri 8:30-12:00/14:00-16:00)
  • Other times hostmaster@nextron.ch
  • Further SLA levels optionally available
• All prices excl. VAT.
• Contract and invoicing: Quarterly in advance

Additional options

Dedicated server including server rental
We also offer to procure the appropriate hardware for your projects. We can advise you on the choice of suitable hardware and help with installation.
Optional services such as alerting, monitoring and system maintenance are also available.
Dedicated servers are also available on a rental basis.

Backup solution and replacement hardware
Weekly disaster recovery images, Restore Anywhere and replacement hardware for minimum downtime.
